The world is in a critical state of existence, balancing on the edge of a knife. The influence of Kaiju has seeped into things more deeply than some are willing to acknowledge. Their invasions have become routine enough that some people have incorporated it into their daily lives, accepting it as something now part of Earth's long upset natural flow. Most world powers still have their eyes stolidly turned towards a future, their efforts fighting for a peace that most of those on the frontlines will never get to see. But there are others who are caught up in the turbulent ever-changing, ever dangerous present.
World leaders are too focused on their wall. The PPDC are too focused on the monstrous threats that emerge from the deep seas. Despite the obvious, it does not completely wipe out the smaller threats closer to home, the events that happen in between the sirens. Lives are still being lived. There's still crime and danger, still things lurking in the dark. So sometimes, you just have to take matters into your own hands...
